DEFINITION

An Events hierarchy is a possible configuration of resources making it possible to constitute an event.

There are two types of hierarchies, which can be combined:

  • Horizontal hierarchy: This is an assembly of several dimensions on the same hierarchical level.

  • Vertical hierarchy: In this case, the dimensions are on different hierarchical levels. So there are parent events and child events such as:

    • A child event has all the parent’s resources;

    • The dates of the child events are comprised within those of the parent event.
