Date Hour type heading


This is a dimension or form type of heading.

A date and/or time heading has a display format and possibly a default value.



Creating a heading

In the Settings menu:

  • Click on Dimensions > Right-click on a dimension > Create Heading > Choose the type,

  • Click on Forms > Right-click on a form > Create Heading > Choose the type.


The corresponding part then opens:


Specify the characteristics of the heading, then confirm by clicking on the OK button.

A Date Hour heading has the following characteristics:



Give this heading a name.

If the multi-language management is activated in the Admin center, it will be possible to fill in a name for this heading in the proposed languages by clicking on the v7_adm_en_parametres_generaux_symbole_multilangue button.


Name of the heading in french Début
Name of the heading in english Beginning
What is seen in a FR desktop Début
What is seen in a EN desktop Beginning


Give the heading a description. This data is optional.



Enable this button to index the heading in the database. This serves to accelerate searches, filters, imports when this heading is used as a criterion in searches, filters or imports.

Indexing the headings makes it possible to improve performance on very specific cases.


We strongly advise you to contact STILOG I.S.T. technical support if these types of needs are identified.

Default value

A default heading value can be used to create a new resource (in the case of a resource heading) or an event (in the case of the form heading).

You can also leave its value empty.


Today’s date

Enable this button to set the value of this heading, taken when a new resource is created, to the date and/or time when the resource is created.

If this button is enabled, the above Default value property has no effect.


Display format

Choose the format for displaying this heading in VISUAL PLANNING.

The format can be customized using the Simple Date Format formalism.

Modifying a heading

To modify a heading you must change the schedule’s architecture template.


This is an important configuration task and should not be performed without careful consideration.

To modify a heading, select the heading in the Settings menu. The corresponding part of the window is then enabled.

Modify the characteristics (see Creating a Hour Date type heading), then click on the OK button.

If you do not want the modification to take effect, you must click on the Restore button.


Deleting a heading

To delete a heading you must change the schedule’s architecture template.


This is an important configuration task and should not be performed without careful consideration.

Deletion of a heading is definitive.




This type of heading is viewed like all the headings:

A Date Hour type heading is used like the Calendar.

Directly modifying values


In a Table view, you can directly modify the value of a heading by clicking once in the heading and then again to unlock it.
