Events values heading : configuration

 

Creating an Events Values heading

 

In the Settings menu > Click on Dimension > Right-click on a dimension > Create Heading > Events values.

The corresponding part is then enabled:

Now choose the characteristics, then click on the OK button.

An Events Values heading has the following characteristics:

Name

Give this heading a name.

If the multi-language management is activated in the Admin center, it will be possible to fill in a name for this dimension in the proposed languages by clicking on the v7_adm_en_parametres_generaux_symbole_multilangue button.

Description

Give the heading a description. The description is optional.

 

Type

The type is Event values.

 

Index

Enable this button to index the heading in the database. This serves to accelerate searches, filters, imports when this heading is used as a criterion in searches, filters or imports.

Indexing of the headings makes it possible to improve performance on very specific cases.

Persistence

Enable the “Editable” button to modify the value of the event represented in such a heading directly from the resource.

 

Editable

The “Editable” button allows, if activated, to modify the value of the event represented in such a field directly from the resource.

Events values

Select the event value to represent in this heading:

  • Start date,
  • End date,
  • Duration in hours,
  • Duration in days,
  • Load in days,
  • Workload in hours,
  • Load,
  • Resources (Identification heading),
  • Resources headings (except boolean and non persistent),
  • Form headings,
  • Valuation items – Total,
  • Total valuation
  • Creation date,
  • Created by,
  • Modification date,
  • Modified by.

Event

Depending on its start date, select the event from the set defined by the filter below:

  • The First in the set,
  • Or the Last in the set.

Display format

Depending on the event value, choose how to visualize this heading in all the VISUAL PLANNING windows.

 

Scheduling

Specify which order criterion is used to define the first or last event. (See Event above)

The following options are available:

  • Start date,
  • End date,
  • Creation date,
  • Modification date.

Events filter

This Events filter enables you to define the type of event to take into account in this heading.

It may be:

Period

You can define an existing time period or customize the calculation period.

Type of intersection

You must choose the type of intersection from the following values:

  • Intersects with period,
  • Covers the period,
  • Entirely within the period,
  • Starts within the period,
  • Ends within the period.

Clicking date

Enable this button to choose the calculation period by clicking on the schedule header.

 

Period according to the time scale

Enable this button to use both the period defined above (only sliding) and the mouse click. This click represents the pivot date of the defined period.

Modifying a heading

 

To modify a heading you must change the schedule’s architecture template.

Warning

This is an important configuration task and should not be performed without careful consideration.

To modify a heading, select the heading in the Settings menu > Dimension.

Now modify the characteristics and click on the OK button.

If you do not want the modification to take effect, you must click on the Restore button.

Deleting a heading

 

To delete a heading you must change the schedule’s architecture template.

Warning

This is an important configuration task and should not be performed without careful consideration.

Deletion of a heading is definitive.
